Susitna Valley Rams vs. King Cove Tundra Jacks (boys)
Jan 25th, 2010 by Lao

In the second game of the basketball double header at Susitna Valley on Monday evening, the Rams boys faced a high powered King Cove team led by Johnny Samuelson and Jordan Hamilton. If you read the article from the Dutch Harbor Fisherman that I linked to in a previous post, then you know that King Cove takes their basketball seriously. However, the Susitna Valley Rams were coming off of a strong showing and a second place finish at the Tri-Valley Invitational. The Rams entered this evening’s game with a 4-1 record on the season. The Susitna Valley Rams basketball teams are back on their home floor tonight. The girls play at 5:00 pm and the boys play 20 minutes after the conclusion of the girls’ game, around 6:30 pm. Tonight the Rams play King Cove, a school located on the Pacific side of the Alaska Peninsula. Thank you Wikipedia. It’s latitude 62 vs. latitude 55. Coverage of the games will be available on TALKEETNA famous shortly after the completion of both games. I found this article on King Cove basketball in the Dutch Harbor Fisherman. I thought you might like to check it out.
